Chapel Hill Events: Homebrew For Hunger Festival
Chapel Hill, NC – I sleep well when I know I’ve done something to help out my neighbors. This Saturday in Chapel Hill, you can help out your neighbors by drinking a few beers.
I’m going to sleep like a rock.
Homebrew for Hunger
The Homebrew for Hunger Festival on Saturday, Nov. 12th in downtown Chapel Hill. Festivities will be held at the new West End public event space at 462 W. Franklin St. downtown and benefit the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina.
Homebrew for Hunger celebrates over 30 local homebrewers and craft breweries such as Carolina Brewery, Fullsteam Brewery, Bull City Burger & Brewery and Mystery Brewing Company. In addition to the tastings, there will be educational events and a panel discussion plus a raffle with great prizes.
The best part is all money raised will go to the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina, which has been feeding children and adults at risk of hunger for thirty years. Did you know the Food Bank can provide 4 meals for every dollar donated? That means your $20 ticket to Homebrew for Hunger provides 80 meals to area families in need!
So head out on November 12th to taste incredible local beer, attend the HomebrewU educational events and most importantly raise money for the hungry. Then go home and get a good nights sleep.
